Welcome to the “It’s Your Money!” Surprise home page. In Surprise, we are finding innovative new ways to give you access to city government.

“It’s Your Money” is the latest example. Here you will find links to sites around surpriseaz.com containing current information about how your tax dollars are working for you. In addition, you will see up to date reports from our Finance Department about City expenditures and revenues. There is also a weekly report on disbursements, a way to look inside the “City checkbook.”

But that’s not all. In coming weeks, we will upgrade this site to include a search function so you can track city expenditures by department, vendor and other criteria. So browse around, and give us some feedback.

It is all about openness, transparency and accountability. The Mayor and council join me in supporting citizen efforts to stay informed about government.
